I make them a bit different with sugar and pecans on top. Once rolled up with the rolo inside dip one end in a mixture of sugar and pecans then place on the cookie sheet with pecan side up.. makes for a nice little cookie.. I have turned so many people onto this cookie and many have said can you give me the receipe.. i clearly state i could not divulge my secret receipe to everyone...only the special people in my life..My Children love making the cookies with me. Thanks Cathleen for the recipe years ago.. love you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14099844.post-91785662757439872252009-06-18T06:49:24.720-04:002009-06-18T06:49:24.720-04:00I am one of those friends Pat is talking about, an...I am one of those friends Pat is talking about, and all I can say is WOW! my kids love them as do all their friends.
Thanks for posting and sharing such a lovely tasty recipe.Linda*Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05048888505213096352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14099844.post-63454225309883286832009-05-21T14:01:43.361-04:002009-05-21T14:01:43.361-04:00Joe, I just baked these yesterday and they are a h...Joe, I just baked these yesterday and they are a huge hit with family and friends and the guys at my local Pizza Express. :) Thanks for the recipe!!! Have super impressed a dorm and a workplace and a family and a set of roommates. :) Thanks for sharing!

We also like putting a tiny bit of cinnamon and salt in the sugar that we roll the cookies in -- different but delicious character.alisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17576575376674354304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14099844.post-65296638488952930372008-11-11T17:24:00.000-05:002008-11-11T17:24:00.000-05:00these are AMAZING!!!!!these are AMAZING!!!!!untitledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13950950416949076413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14099844.post-1135659458859723452005-12-26T23:57:00.000-05:002005-12-26T23:57:00.000-05:00These got voted 'favorite new' cookie at my house!...These got voted 'favorite new' cookie at my house!Alanna Kellogghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12869948243694610558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14099844.post-1130157629330145942005-10-24T08:40:00.000-04:002005-10-24T08:40:00.000-04:00These cookies turned out very yummy!I had great fu...These cookies turned out very yummy!

I had great fun with this recipe. I used rolos the first time (which makes it a little expensive since I can't seem to find bulk packs of the things!), the people at work ate them very quickly!

I tried them with werthers chewy caramels chopped in half to go inside, as well as blocks of cadbury caramel whip (not sure if this is something you can get in USA, I'm writing from Australia). Cadbury caramel whip is sort of like whipped nougat out of a milky way or mars bar, topped with runny caramel, all inside a chocolate shell. I also made one giant cookie with a caramello koala inside.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14099844.post-1127653759927874942005-09-25T09:09:00.000-04:002005-09-25T09:09:00.000-04:00Good recipe, I found if you flip them over onto th...Good recipe, I found if you flip them over onto their tops, it prevents sticking. It would probably save a bit of money too, I think. I am finishing up my batch tomorrow since I didn't feel like baking them tonight but I will be sticking with the Rolo's for the first round. Maybe the chocolate around them makes it all the better rather than straight caramel?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14099844.post-1127493211188150322005-09-23T12:33:00.000-04:002005-09-23T12:33:00.000-04:00These look amazing!
