Besides on-line, I've also asked a few vet's who have all said that it is fine and some even recommend it for flea control. They would have to eat a fairly large amount of garlic to have any problems from what I've been told - the amount of thiosulphate from 1 garlic clove spread out over 4 dozen treats would be very very small.
