We did a little better this week, with 11 new recipes. I quite enjoyed most of them, but I think the stand-outs were the Creamed Cauliflower with Herbed Crumb Topping and Breakfast Crunch Bars. The new week has some fun and comforting recipes coming up - I can't wait to get started as we roll into another month.
Here's a peak at one of the ingredients we will be using in a recipe at some point during the week. A few of the other ingredients that will go along with these crusty Sourdough Baguettes are fresh tomatoes, baby spinach, and gorgonzola.
The movie from Netflix tonight will be The Pacifier starring Vin Diesel and Brad Garrett. Going over the list of recipes to make this week, I see it will be quite busy as some require a lot of prep work to be done the day before. Stick around and see what we end up with!
I can't wait to see what you have planned for this week Joe!
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for your concern. Everything is fine, I just have to get my priorities straight. I'll be back sometime this week.
Hmm, sounds good, whatever it will be. Would you mind sharing some of your favorite magazines for recipes? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I made your Creamy Key Lime Bars and they were fabulous. I noticed that you used the recipe from One Smart Cookie, did you change it at all, or did you leave it the same? I've been thinking of buying the book, but low fat desserts are always a hit or miss with me. These bars are definitely a hit!
ReplyDeletePatti - Hope stuff calms down soon! Take care!
ReplyDeleteTeresa - off hand I like to use Cooking Light, Eating Well, Gourmet, Bon Appetit. If I think of any more I'll let you know!
Ungouremtgal - Glad to hear you liked them! I didn't change much of anything in the recipe. It is a good book, the author tends to sweeten everything a bit more to make up for the loss of fat though.
