Bacon Maple Waffles

Bacon Maple Waffles (Adapted from CL)

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
3 tablespoons butter, melted
4 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
3 large eggs, lightly beaten

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

In another medium bowl, whisk together milk, syrup, butter, bacon and eggs - pour into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.

Preheat a waffle iron. Scoop about 1/2 cup batter per waffle onto the hot waffle iron, gently spreading the batter to the edges. Cook until steaming stops, about 4 to 6 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve with warmed pure maple syrup.

Makes about 8 waffles.
