Final set of wedding pictures...

Okay - last set of wedding pictures coming up! We flew back into Phoenix today and are finally back home for a few days. Look for new recipes and food posts starting tomorrow! *As always, pics are clickable for larger and more clear viewing if you so choose. You also may need to click it again depending on your browser as they may try to resize it and it can get pixilated.

Here's the cake fully put together and brought outside - yes, no accidents occurred! And yes, while Mom could have had this part done by someone else (to relieve some stress!), she took care of this too with some friendly help!

Mom arranged a surprise that few people knew about (we knew though!). The bridal party thought they would be arriving to the farm in limos - much to their surprise, they were picked up by horse-drawn carriages (which were also used to give rides later on!)

PS... You would think she had done way to much already right? Nope, she also made the Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid dresses!

Steve was very taken aback by this surprise and Jen couldn't believe the fairy tale ride!

Here is my sister Jennifer being walked down the isle by Dad.

About midway through the ceremony they did the lighting of the unity candle.

When they were almost done, they each were given a dove to release to signify the start of their life of love and happiness.

The whole event was a lot of work, but it was well worth all of the effort from everyone who contributed. Jen and Steve are enjoying their honeymoon in Walt Disney World - you two better be having a blast! We hope you enjoyed the series of pictures - thank you again for bearing with us!

  1. First of all, what a beautiful moment- thank you for sharing!

Secondly, your mother is a saint. A very talented, intrepid saint.

  2. You mother is Wonder Woman! Is there anything she can't do?

What a beautiful wedding. Thank you for sharing the pics with us.

  3. Wow... thanks for sharing! Your mother's endless energy to create things for her loved ones reminds me of my own mother's incessant energy although I don't think even she would have bit off THAT much.

  4. Everything was beautifull! Congratulations to you and your family Joe, and thanks for sharing the nice pictures with us!

  5. Wow -- thank you for sharing these. Your Mom could certainly give "Martha" a run for her money. She is so talented. Hope she's on vacation or at least relaxing this week!

  6. s'kat - Thanks! I just wish she would slow down now!

Barbara - We ask that all the time!

Nerissa - I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures!

    Ana - Thanks!

Janice - I wish, she has yet to sit down for a couple minutes I'm sure!

  7. Joe,
I agree with the others sentiments...your mother is amazing! The wedding, decorations and farm looked truly beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures!!

  8. Jeff - Sounds like it was a very special and gorgeous ceremony for Jen and Steve. And I'm completely amazed by how multi-talented your mother is. The bowling pin centerpieces were a riot!

  9. Hello to all of Joe's blogger friends! I am a neighbor of Joe's mother's and one of her many friends. I just wanted to compliment Joe on what a great job he and Jeff did on documenting this wedding on his blogspot. Terrific pic's, and great explanation of the wedding details.

However, I did not see where he wrote about how hard HE and Jeff worked with his mother to smooth over the finest details of the event. I was very impressed with their diligence, patience, and attention to detail. Jeff's mom IS and incredible woman --I've never met anyone quite like her--but Joe, I think, is probably the apple that didn't fall far from the tree. Bloggers, don't let this humble chef fool you. He is not at all dorky, as I've met him in person. I just wish I had spent more time getting to know him while he and Jeff were here. He was so busy, it took me three days to find out who he was! He was merely a streak moving this over here, and taking that over there....for days!

If you don't mind, Joe, I want to link you to my spot, and take advantage of your culinary skills to get me out of my same-old, same-old rut. As 'Arnold' says...I'll be back!

  10. Everything looked story-tale perfect. And thanks for letting us vicariously join you and your family.

  11. Anon - Glad I could share them!

Ed - Lol if I could only show you everything she did!

Hi Kath! Thanks again for the cake storage in the freezer! We were just glad we could be there to help - I wish we could have done more!

Ruth - It was tough to pick out pictures, but I glad that I didn't bore everyone!

  12. Beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing them with us. Your mom is amazingly talented and creative. Guess we know where you get it from :-)

  13. It was great meeting you in at the wedding/family reunion.
