Chocolate Cookies n’ Cream Cookies (Adapted from Baking Bites)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
16 tablespoons (1 cup or 2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 1/2 ounces (about 3/4 cup) bittersweet chocolate chips
4 1/2 ounces (about 3/4 cup) white chocolate chips
1 1/4 cups chopped Oreo cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugars until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing until combined after each. Mix in vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Fold in chips and chopped cookies.
Using a tablespoon cookie scoop, drop dough onto parchment or silpat-lined baking sheets. Place into the oven and bake until the edges of the cookies are set and the tops have just begun to crack, about 8 to 12 minutes. Remove and allow cookies to cool for 2 to 3 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
