Parmesan Bacon Biscuit Sticks

Parmesan Bacon Biscuit Sticks (Adapted from Land O Lakes)

Biscuit Dough

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into small cubes
2/3 cup milk
2 center-cut bacon slices, cooked and crumbled

Topping

1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 425

For the dough

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cheese, baking powder, oregano, basil, garlic and salt. Add in the cold cubed butter and mix in with a pastry blender until it resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in the crumbled bacon and enough of the milk until the dough is moist, stirring just until combined.

Scoop dough onto a smooth surface dusted with flour. Roll dough to a 10" by 6" rectangle and cut into 10 strips.

Separate sticks and place onto a parchment lined baking sheet, making sure to leave some room for them to expand.

Topping

Gently brush sticks with milk and scatter with Parmesan.

Place in the oven and bake 10-15 minutes, until golden.
