Easy Scalloped Potatoes

3 russet potatoes, cut into 1/8 to 1/4" slices
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheese
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 425

Line a 8X8" baking dish with foil. Lightly coat with cooking spray.

Place half of the potatos in the bottom of the dish, arranging them evenly. Season with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Drizzle 1 tablespoon melted butter. Top with 1/4 cup cheese. Repeat with remaining items.

Place milk in a small sauce pan and bring to a slow boil over medium low heat. Carefully pour over the potato layers and then bake in the oven for about 35-40 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
